Thanks Rick! I did look in them areas too and all looks good. I am to go pick up my 65 Coronet 500 on Thursday or Friday WooHoo can't wait either. Love these cars. Been in the Mopar corner my whole life and for some reason I feel so proud to be getting this one. Ive wanted one for a long time. Happy to say the least.Welcome from Canada, bottom of qtrs, and cowl by where the hood meets wit the fender are the only spots Iknow of
Thanks, and totally agree about "Best Bbody site around"Welcome from the U.K Bryan
Like you, I'm a new (ish) member and Imho this is without doubt THE forum for B Body's .... There are some very genuine and very helpful people here - Good luck with finding your new ride mate
Welcome from Illinois. As far as spots to look for, the cowl area. When you open the hood the area that is the first step down from the cowl panel likes to rust out due to no paint protection from underneath.
Look at the front floor boards the wiper pivots usually leak and the carpet gets wet and viola rust through. Shumacher makes replacement pivot gaskets.
The lower cowl on the passenger side likes to rust due to debris getting stuck in the drain vents. The rubber flap on the firewall is one drain, the other is hidden by the pass side fender. Try and flush them out.
The trim around the back window, unscrew it and look at the bottom section, there is usually debris that is stuck in there which causes which water comes in and rusts out trunk floor under the mat.
Welcome from NW CT. Feel free to post photos of the car(s) you are looking at - especially any areas you are questioning or concerned with. Some of us here may be able to see something good, bad or ugly that may help you with your purchase. Good luck!

Wow! Yur 500 looks real nice. not sure if the color is white or Med Blue Poly like the one I'm looking to get. But nevertheless, its lookin good.Welcome to the site! I love those 1965 Coronets too!
Sharp looking car, happy for you. This is a great site A LOT OF CUMULATIVE KNOWLEDGE at this site. What is really nice is that people here are willing to help those in need. I've been lucky enough over the years and have learned quite a bit here.
I thought you were getting a sedan not a hardtop. The back glass area especially by the trunk, I'm not 100% sure on how the glass is seated in the body. I'm more into sedans aka post cars. So not sure if my advice on back glass is correct, just being honest.
Looking at your pics, the rubber flap is missing on the firewall which will make things a tad easier to inspect for rust, that area / body seam will have signs of rust. Also when you look under the dash take your flash light and look up at the wiper pivot areas, make sure metal is solid.
That 318 poly is a good dependable motor, easy to work on. Of course as long as it was taken care of, it will give you plenty of fun miles in the future.
Suggestion would be to get a FSM for the car, saves a lot of grief.
Good luck hope its everything you want and more.
Looks great in the photos. How's it underneath?
