I recently picked up an R/T that has 57k miles and has been sitting since 1980. I cannot seem to figure out what this booster is, Bendix etc. Also the MC has these fitting between the lines and MC, I've never seen these before either.

Both fender tag and broadcast sheet confirm this is a power drum car.

Can anyone confirm these items are factory? I have no reason to believe they are not original to the car but I don't see a match to that booster in the FSM or a reference to those fittings.

I'm guessing but the brass fittings were common when a replacement master was installed that had different thread sizes. I know there were 2 boosters used midland and bendix. Not sure which is which.

Those are the ones in the FSM but neither look like this one.

Guess once I'll get it out we'll see what's stamped on it.

Car was in service from 67-80 and 57k miles. I would think these would be original to the car, or maybe not.

My unmolested 67 wagon has those same fittings on a manual M/C.

I'm not really sure what they are, as they don't change the thread size and they're not anti-bleed down valves.

No mystery solved yet on the booster but I was able to visually match it up. Looks like a booster from a 69 C Body. Once I get it removed I'll look for part numbers and date code.

I was told the fittings were original with the drum brake master. I don't know why though. My 67 4 spd wagon has only 42K on it and has the original master with the same fittings. No power brakes though. Although I have seen that booster on other 67s, but that doesn't mean some one didn't add it along the way.

Good to know, thank you.

I'll report back once I get it off the car and see what the part number is and date code if it has one.

Suppose the fittings are residual pressure valves??

Mine are not.

I have one of those laying around of my RT
Thx Big Al. Not sure I follow though... what do you have laying around? Booster, valves, MC? If it's the booster, would you mind taking some pictures of it and posting here?

My booster looks just like that and the master cylinder I just changed out looks like that one too but I don't have any adapters. 67 Coronet R/T

Thank you! So if Big Al has the same one then I think I can absolutely call it original for sure. It's also interesting that the MC cover is gold. I saw that on mine too, somebody painted over it at some point but I thought it was interesting. I'm not sure I've seen any restored cars with a gold cap.

I guess the big question is, why aren't these boosters in the FSM? Closest thing I could find to match this booster is a 69 C body.

The booster is a single diaphragm Bendix, which is correct for heavy duty 11" drum brakes. I have the same unit on my early '68.

Can anyone identify this one? I purchased it used and installed many years ago. Thought it was off of a 68 o 69 B-Body but not sure. It's not over boosted or touchy by any means. MC is a NAPA replacement.

That one looks like a Midland Ross that's in the FSM and also the one that's available as a replacement from most parts houses today.
