The one pictured above is a 73 to 74 E-Body application. The first year for a radiator overflow bottle for the B-Body application that we have found is the 71 year model. Even then, it is very difficult to find a car originally equipped in this fashion. The first year that these overflow bottles became pretty much standard equipment would be 73.
So if your looking for something to work as recovery tank for a 70 B-Body, your pretty much wide open to find something that you can fabricate into working.
I like Frankenstein's method of mounting to the battery tray. I have one of those 1/2 gallon cylinder type overflows mounted on the passenger inner fender under the horn. 69b is correct, no stock overflow on a 1970
