I actually got that light, but I've moved it + my car wasn't originally air grabber. When I got the hood, it was mounted on one of the box/seal screws, driver side front corner, sort of near the battery. However, it was just a socket with a single wire (sort of looked like a trunk light). I'm not sure how it's supposed to turn on/off. I vaguely remember grounding it (somehow) & using the one wire to touch to the positive side of the battery when I was a teenager......my car used to break down/run out of gas/ect A LOT back then. Sorry I don't have a picture, just a vague memory.
Additional info: my car did come with the A01 light group...so "maybe" when the air grabber hood was put on (previous owner) he just stuck it in approximately the same location it was in before?
Anybody got a picture of a factory 70 Roadrunner under-hood light? Air grabber or not?
RR did not come with under hood light. But I believe dealers had accessory add on, or any backyard mechanic could add it. Would come in handy for a daily driver back in the day. Stuff from the 80/90 had a magnetic switch that triggered on when hood up. For trunk, You should have harness connection under driver side panel with harness running under rocker to trunk. The brace on driver rear quarter has the ground switch (like door switch) and the light mounts in the trunk near that switch on the panel the rear window merges on. Google search will show you.
For what ever reason that seems to get over looked on a lot of restore A01 cars I have seen.
