Replace old TKO 5 need advice

I don’t make a move without checking here with the boys. No way to beat a personal reference.

Advice appreciated.

I agree. I'll post when I have a good experience with a vendor. In our hobby, word of mouth is the best advertisement.

I agree to a point. I consider the source though.
There are some people that seem compelled to run to the computer to whine and complain about "Terrible service" from some company BEFORE ever going through the process of letting that company try to make it right.

I will complain as quickly and adamantly as compliment.
A trusted, thorough review, whether positive or negative, with detailed information is some of the BEST information that prospective customers can get.
My situation with Promax for instance. Poor communication when they had my carbs. Reason given: "I can talk on the phone, answer emails, or work on carburetors". While some may see that as snippy, or that states the case for more staff requirements, I could actually accept that answer, although I (especially me) prefer a lot of communication with regards to progress of a particular job.
Also, their communication with me did step up when I had just got them back, when I really needed to talk with them, and it has been my schedule that has kept me from working on resolving the problem, and I expect and anticipate them being in touch once I get some dedicated, intense "hey I did this, this, and that and here is what I have, now what?" time.
I certainly hope to resolve my problems because I sent good (not great) running carbs to them expecting them to come back better, especially because I paid them to do the mods and run and preliminarily tune the carbs, and my engine runs worse than EVER.

Anyone replace an 833 w/Tremec in a console car? Shifter bumps the console when pulling back and left into 2nd. Don’t remember if it did that before or new with the Tremec. Would like to adjust if possible.

Just "go commando" and have a "naked shifter". Bring that pesky old console with you when you come on down to the swamp...

wow...you got the new one in already?

im wondering if a T56 would work with my console in my 66 :D

i would like to keep console even though it is a noisy old thing. it does hold my cupholders so i forgive it.

How about slotting the lower hole on the stick. Did it on the wagon for a bit more wiggle room. Or the top or both, whatever works.

New one not in yet. This is the Keisler. Velcro bumper wore off long ago. Agreed that the console rattles, is misaligned, and has mismatched woodgrain. Collect junk like mad too. Why guys on here spend a small fortune to put one in is beyond me.

No console expert here but something is not right. Keisler touted a Perfect fit, Not. What shifter are you using? The stock as came with Tremec? With My kit from Hurst Drive Line Conversions I went with a Hurst Black Jack, it has an offset for the stick. I am sure they make one for yours, the stick looks bent over. Thinking it should be more vertical. Is it the correct one for your app?

IIRC this is the original Hurst stick. Keisler TKO mod allowed using original 833 stick/handle. I can live with it, but it only take a mm or 2 for clearance. Photo shows trans in second position.

Just looked on the Hurst site, Nothing for Mopars. Might call SST and see what they offer.

My Shifter Set-up. I Plan on reinstalling my Console.

Needs a clutch. Looks like 11”. Street duty. Recommendations? It was working good, tech says it is time. Can’t find paperwork or I would replicate.
