That’s the way I feel - my six pack is a absolute gas hog - to the point I think there’s something Wrong or I’m missing something. I may have to go to the above ...... not a DD tho

GetX'd, do you have the stock vacuum secondaries, or progressive mechanical? You could try stiffer springs in the secondary carbs. Might even smooth out the transition to wide open, and might give better mpg.
My sixpack gets horrible mileage too, probably due to factory 4.10s in the back.

That'll do it every time. I had the same setup for a while...great for zipping up the highway, but hopeless gas mileage.

I have seen where some people block off the fuel lines to the outboards, and run only in primary...eye candy without the HP.

That certainly makes better sense than the above picture for sure. But if I was driving around a piece of automotive history, I'd would say to hell with the gas mileage.

If your worried about mileage you shouldnt have a 6 pak, keep your foot out of it and change your springs.

Back in the day I would cut off the fuel supply to mine ,on the 55 .. the outers leaked so bad.. and would whistle from soaked gaskets.. but the carbs stayed on..
