Wiper Arm Finish

Did all my stainless trim polishing so far.

Now I am wondering because some people here polished their windshield wiper arms.

On my 68 they look dull. Dull or matt finish from factory if compared to the trim.

This does make sense to prevent any unwanted reflections.

What was factory correct?

My 68 arms look to be a matte finish. I'm just going to do a light soda blast first, if that doesn't do it for me then I'll go to a light glass bead blast. It's never a good idea to have real shinny stuff in your forward field of vision, that's why your dash isn't glossy black either.

66 B body's had chrome wiper arms and in 67 that was changed to an almost argent matt finish. The factory reason was glare.

Had mine polished when all the stainless was done. Look killer and I never get any glare...
