Hi all,
I'm new to this forum and was wondering if anyone has some wisdom on my 727 trans. After driving I park my truck and I find trans fluid leaking. The pan is clean and dry. I can't find the spot. Any other normal spots leaks show up? Any ideas would be helpful..
P.S. it's a Dodge powered Chevrolet
Thanks Madcap

Sure, Front seal, rear tail shaft seal, shifter shaft seal and the speedometer housing seals.

Welcome from North Carolina. A 727 leaking is like a bear shitting in the woods, it just happens.

I knew I had fluid in it.. just how it leaked.. if it didnt leak.. then there was something wrong... :D

Welcome from the show me state!! I had one leak through a bad spot in the casting in the yoke once.

How bad a leak, and general location?
I usually rear vent my transmissions, and plug the stock vent because when fluid pukes out the stock vent, it is difficult to tell if it is just the vent, or a real problem. Have has cracked torque converter hub that leaked under pressure.
Dipstick tube O-ring leaking because the tube was cracked where the O-ring sits?

Thanks for the info. I didn't know there is a vent. Could the pressure be getting to high and that's why it's leaking out?
