Looking To Replace All The Clear Glass In My 68 charger. Who OffersThe Best Quality Kit..

Any Difference With The Restorers Choice? Not a Concours Resto Car

Thanks

There is a thread at DodgeCharger.com.....A guy was pissed that his side glass did not match the vent window frame. The curve of the glass was not right and the glass wouldn't fit the channel! I do not recall the vendor for certain but it might have been AMD. Good luck in the search.

When I was at Hot August Nights in Reno, NV a couple of weeks ago, at the parts swap, I met a vendor called Auto City Classic (www.autocityclassic.com), 800-828-2212. They had samples, price sheets, were knowledgable, and came all the way in a Motorhome from MN. They told me they sell all their products complete and piece out too. They have original tinted glass, and grey tinted glass. I need brake calipers from my disc brake project, and I'm going to call them tomorrow.

Purchased my date coded glass for my '68 Charger from ECS. It fit perfectly. Purchased the rubber seals, etc from Restoration Parts and Materials-Richard O'Shields. Great fit on everything. BTW, He is a vendor on this site. Great guy to deal with.

This.....ECS Hand pics their glass from jrd international and offers date coding. AMD buys from the same place but they do not inspect the glass and they have a generic etching.....

@69bfan is the best vendor for reproduction parts IMHO.....

They sell 'original thickness' glass. most others are selling glass that is about a credit card thickness less. Very happy with my windshield and rear window replacements

My buddy got his rear glass from AMD for the rear and it was bogus. Didnt fit right and was all wavy it made me seasick! lol, I have heard ECS is good, might have to check them out for my roadrunner....

Bought a complete date-coded set for my T/A Challenger from ECS and everything fit perfectly.

The original glass.
It fits, it's not distorted... You already own it (Hopefully) Sounds like a good plan to me.... And it's exactly what I've done

From a car that scored 995 out of 1000......NOS glass is virtually non existent and the dating makes it impossible....Viable original glass is no easy feat in itself and the majority is non restorable. Front glass you can forget it unless you enjoy looking through edge haze..........I have seen many cars restored with polished glass that looked nice as a 5 footer but up close the abuse was present through the shine. In addition the etchings we're unreadable or polished off......

ZERO question about the correctness and fitment of ECS glass.......
