We all want something. You are asking for someone to take several minutes to sit down and make a drawing to show you how to do something?

Have you done this to your car ?

Yes. I've done it to several. There was a time when guys didn't have web forums, they just jumped in and figured out stuff for themselves. I'm sure that you are able to do that.
I do NOT have any experience with the 3rd gen Chargers so unless they have some really strange bracketry, my idea should work. Cars of the early to mid 70s had bumpers that stood off of the body with an ugly gap. Slotting the mounting brackets allows some adjustment, cutting and sectioning out is a deeper involved modification but if you are looking to close the gaps, that is another way to go.

I'm capabled of the work I'm a machinist I was just trying to get a feel for what it intales. I work on my car I was just trying to be specific to my year if you've never own a 73 or 74 in some ways they are quite diffrent.

I believe KernDog is correct on this one. A and B bodies that I've seen (and many other cars too) bolt the bumper mount brackets with the bolts parallel to the longest dimension of the bumper itself on the front. Therefore it should be pretty straightforward to adjust up/down/in/out. The rear bumper on the other hand, would be much tougher to move in, to any degree, because the mount bolts are perpendicular to the bumper itself, but out/up/down should still be pretty simple. ***EDIT*** Nice looking car BTW!

I just did this to mine. the top brackets will have to be modified as well. cut slots in the existing holes in the brackets and push it back. you may encounter interference with your grills in the headlight area. I'm using a hideaway set up so I can't speak on that part.

Headlights? They mount to a framework that mounts to the core support. It won't move back with the bumper. I have not done this mod. But I have had the front apart. It would seem that the the headlight frame would need to be modified to move the headlights back. I don't think it is that difficult if you have some sheet metal tools and a little skill.

You don't need to move the headlights frame back, just trim out the headlight fillers IF REALLY necesary due the tipically contracted fillers. 71/72 headlights are at the same location with bumpers closer to body with standard grilles. Only change on headlights position is when 71/72 were hideaways, which got shorter headlights mount to get a larger gap to the doors.

aside is easier to replace the bracket than fix or replace the fender in any case.

on 3rd gen charger forum a guy also made a small diagonal cut mod on frame rails ends to make the bumper to get even closer to the body, mathcing with the Y brakets.

I have done it to my 73 Charger. I slotted the front bumper brackets, and I used a 72 rear bumper assembly to move in the rear bumper.

I never cared for the generic plastic side marker lights on the 72 to 74 Chargers. I also cannot stand those knee knocker bumper guards either.
