I have a 66 dodge coronet. I have just completed a disc brake conversion on. Before I did the conversation I was having issues with the left rear tire "locking up". I figured it was the drum brakes seizing up from the car sitting up for a few weeks at a time. I live close to the coast of south Carolina and right now we are expecting a hurricane in the next few days so I moved my car to a safer place. As I was loading the car on the trailer with a com-a-long I noticed that same wheel locked up. When I had the car up on jack stands I had no issues turning the wheel in either direction. I apologize for the long post but I felt I needed to explain it in a little detail.. I appreciate any input on this.

release the bleeder on that wheel and see if it loosens up.. if not prob just the wheel cyl sticking

I had a caliper stick but it was due to the rubber hose collapsed inside and caused it to lock the fluid into the caliper. The inside basically turned into a one way valve.

If it continues to stick, pull the drum off to see if rear end oil is leaking into the brakes.

All my brake parts are brand new.. new master cylinder, new lines, new calipers.. with no weight on the axle the wheel rolls fine in either direction. As soon as I put the car on the ground and tried to load it on the trailer now all of a sudden the wheel won't roll..

Make sure the adjuster on that wheel is not backwards. (Wrong one for that side)

Wheel bearing?[/QUOTE]
Brand new.."green bearng".. my dad says the clearance between the OD of the bearing and the ID of the bearing housing may be too big and it causes the bearing to lock up because of misalignment...

How about the possibility of a stuck parking brake cable?

is it possible a rotor isn't seated correctly against axle flange and the weight of car on the rotor is causing it to bind in caliper?
