That said, I'm sure most folks do what I do as well, namely try to minimize the chances of a garden variety knuckle-dragging, disrespectful sub-human even getting the
chance to do 'em harm, too.
I can't even imagine having to leave mine parked among the masses unattended, like with apartment/townhouse/garage parking, for example.

Sadly, there are even those among us out there that will
intentionally do this sort of harm, simply because they don't have anything as nice, too.

We take the GTX all over, but admittedly we're in a less populated region.
Folks are more apt to be a tad more respectful of others' property around here - but not
all of 'em are that way.
When parking at stores, restaurants and such, I do the usual parking away from others/defensive parking bit. If I can see the car from where we sit for dinner, all the better.
Wouldn't be the first time I magically appeared right behind someone in the parking lot who decided to get a little toooo close to the car while we're eating.
When we take it grocery shopping (weekly occurance in warmer months), I try to find one of those spots that has a painted island sort of deal right next to it and utilize it to cheat a bit to that side, moving the car further away from the next spot.
I want one of those front spots like that, so I can catty-corner park it.
The car being right in front of the store seems to discourage shenanigans itself, too - people know they're in plain view of all (and usually on camera, too).
One of the main reasons I moved to the side of a ridge, not middle of nowhere (but I can see nowhere from here
) was to keep my shiyat away from being tempting to the massholes in society.
That (and a reputation locally for being a
very 2A proponent) makes the GTX as safe as I can make it.
