Looking for tips. What kind/thickness of gasket? Adhesive? Checking chrome trim for fit before installing glass? Other? Tks.

3/8" Butyl ribbon and don't forget to use a few rubber spacers along the bottom edge. Test fit on 3/8" blocks first to get glass centered, use masking tape across glass to body for alignment and then cut it so when you put it in for real you line up the tape lines.

Make sure to seal the trim screws before installing glass. Other wise water will leak into trunk.

I've always liked the 3M 3/8" X 15' kit. looks just like the kit you're using
for around$18.00. It comes with the two spacer blocks.

Thanks for replies. Keep em comin.

Put the trim on before the butyl sets up so the glass height will be correct. Let the trim determine how far you smash the butyl down. I have had to cut a glass back out before because the butyl set up and the glass was not deep enough to get the trim on. :2cents:
