69 904 torqueflite. Does anyone have any torqueflite literatures or manuals that state what speeds the torqueflite 904 is supposed to shift to 2nd and Drive, while in drive ? I understand how to adjust the shifting speeds. I just would like to know what the original manufacturer speeds were. Thank you, for anyone willing to help,

PJ724,I'm looking at a 1966 service manual it states different mph speeds for what body A or B and V8 or S6.Also rear gears.
So we will say a Coronet V8,3.23 gear. Either 904 or 727. Closed throttle/light throttle is 1-2 6 to 11 mph 2-3 10 to 15 mph.
Wide open 1-2 26-37 mph and 2-3 55to 67 mph.
I'm using a 66 service manual because it's what is in front of me. My 1969 manual is at the shop. If it differs I'll post it here.
I just removed a manual shift valve body out of my 65 (73 tranny) and installed a stock valve body with a B&M shift kit.
At first drive it shifted out of 1st at 28 mph and 44 mph out of second, light throttle. I am using a Mancini kick down cable kit.
Got a bit more adjusting of the cable to do. A bit more information than what you need, but what the heck, I'm improving my typing skills.

Thank you, I found a service manual. I don’t know the year of manual. But, it’s pretty much stating the same info you mentioned. FYI - you will need to play with the cable adjustments a lot to get things dialed in right. I’ve found the further back you start the pump pointing toward rear of car at idle. The higher speed, it will shift from 2nd to drive in an automatic. Which I like, gives a car better acceleration from stop to speed limit for example. I’m talking about extremely small adjustment amounts.
