who use it and how much for a bottle and what brand do you use

I just dump a bottle of STP with every oil change and I'm good!

I use it for break in then not after. I just buy it at Auto Zone don't remember the brand it is about 16.00 a bottle.

Lucas Oil brand around here. I tried it with a giant pucker factor on my 440 that had already been broken n and had some miles on it. It was added to Mobil1 full synthetic oil. It's about the same price as Brad Penn or Penn Grade as it's called these days. So, I'll just use the Penn Grade synthetic blend.

The additive is used at break in then use a high(for today) zero content oil after that.
STP reduced the amount of zinc a while back and Iirc added molybdenum (moly).

I recently cleaned out a shed for a friend and came across 8 quarts of 10w 40w unopened, which I was told was around 30 years old.
I wonder if it has a higher amount of zinc

i heard they where stopping putting in zinc in diesel oil. i just bought STP with ZDDP in it .
thanks everyone for the input

Amsoil Signature Synthetic 10-40. High Zinc. All my 440 gets. No additives.

I think, much like conventional motor oil, it has been reduced, but not eliminated.
I add a bottle of ZDDP Plus to Rotella T5, just to be on the safe side.
