2 Mopars, or Not 2 Mopars

what color was the 68 imperial you sold and how long ago

It was red with a white interior and top,and I sold it last year.

i wanted to talk to you about it but you did not answer the phone.
do you know where it when because i have two of them but one is a parts cars and maybe who you sold it to may need parts

My friend Dave sold the car for me,and helped the buyer load the car on his trailer. I know that he said the guy was from Western Massachusetts. I had the car stored at my friends house in Connecticut.

I do pretty much 99.99% of all of the work on my vehicles by myself

So true for me as well.
I had help for a few key things, but everything else I do myself, and have to learn as I go.

When I get help I think, I couldn't have done that without help, then I realize the reality is I'd have to do it myself, and would find a way, if no one showed up.

I recently replaced the upholstery on one, from soup to nuts. Followed all the videos I could watch and it turned out horrible.
Took it all apart, and decided to recreate the original factory stuff and it worked perfectly and took little time to complete.
I was amazed how different the factory methods, and some materials, were from the new stuff. The seat covers were spot on, that's it.

Thats awesome, I know exactly what you mean and the prime reason I have so many tools and equipment. There is very little I can't do or haven't done to include all mechanical s, paint and body, etc. The only thing I haven't done much of is rebuilding a rearend/third member, done it a time or 2 but had help, something I intend to learn soon.

I have three Mopars. I always tell people that once you invest in the tools and obtain the knowledge to keep them running it's not that hard to own multiples . Since you pay tabs once with classic plates and insurance is reasonable. Storage is the only thing holding me back from a dozen or better.

well i have parts for that 68 convertible so i would be grad to help . heres mine

Cool car,I bought the Imperial convertible project car that I sold, to build it for my high school auto shop teacher. He always had 67/68 Imperials. We were planning to do an overhauling style project for him, and give the car to him at a local cruise night. Unfortunately he got sick and passed away before we got to it. We had gotten as far as building a fresh 440 for the car. The car was sitting up in the woods at my friends house, and the cover kept getting wrecked by wind and snow, so I decided to sell the car while it was still solid enough to save. When we pulled the car out of the woods and cleaned it up,it was much more solid than I had remembered, and was more complete than I had remembered, having all of the convertible specific parts, and the complete 440 carb to pan intact. As you well know these are rare cars, but are very expensive cars to restore. But with under 500 of them built, I felt it was in the cars best interest to cut it loose, and price it so it would sell so someone would save the car,and at $1500.00 it was a real deal. Sometimes it's more about the fate of the car, than it is about the money! I know that my friend lost his cell phone around that time, and lost all his contact information, around the time we moved that car out of the woods, so that is probably why he didn't return your call. I bet that missing phone is probably up there in the woods where the car was,but we never found it. If he had a contact number for the buyer, it was probably in that phone. I can ask him when I talk to him.

Got three B bodys. one is sitting outside. They are not getting any cheaper or easier to find. So why not keep them? Don't pay taxes on cars and they make great conversation pieces.

I only have one and it will be my last one. I hope to have it done next year so I can go meet all you folks at a show or something. It's a budget build but it going to be fun when it's done. Like everyone says on build it your way. Well same goes for how many do you want.

Man told is wife "A man an never have too many old Mopars, where they run or not!"

Wife told man, " A woman can never have too many shoes, clothes, jewelry, and high priced NEW vehicles".

The man's garage should be large enough to hold many, many old cars, and have a man cave in one end equipped with large tv, frig, and a BED!!????????????????/

I sent you a PM with the buyers number, check your messages.

Holy crap, "one more than you can keep."
What, no cig in his hand in this video?

I believe that's the correct answer, based on my own experience. Whether it was setting up a 10x20 portable car port, or taking a wall down in my garage, or both, or leaving one on a trailer until the town threatens to fine you.

But therein lies the problem, at that limit there's no space to work, at least in my case.

I keep thinking I need one of those metal carports, in front of my garage, certainly no funds for a real addition - oh no, it's happening again.
