Lizard Skin

Did you mask off any of the areas of the firewall that gets parts mounted to it?

I masked everything...... take the time to do it, tape the backside of any holes

and the grey sound deadener holds paint nicely, I put a thin coat of epoxy primer over it just prior to paint to ensure adhesion

Perfect, thanks! Did you just cover the holes or did you mask where brackets like steering column and things mount or did you just mount these over the lizard skin and paint? I wondered how it was with keeping moisture out

I masked the firewall side, inside I coated everything..... the car isn't yet built, but we aren't concerned about it at all. actually I never gave it a thought...... I'm thinking the material will actually work as a gasket

Ok thanks, I couldn't tell from the pics. I think it will also but wasn't sure. I guess I could email Lizard skin and ask

How is it??
It goes on great, seems pretty durable and no clean up. Kicker is you need to buy the special gun to apply. When your done with the can you just toss it. Gun never needs cleaning.
