Has anyone else found springs replacing the spacers? I was told these are from a circa '66 273 but I was thinking maybe a 318 Poly?

All hemis had springs instead of spacers. Back in the '70's I bought an Isky adjustable rocker kit for a big block that came with springs. HOWEVER, those ones were so strong they caused wear in the sides of the rockers so I ditched 'em for spacers.

I have a set of Crane ductile adjustables that have springs.

Best I remember all 273's were adjustable rockers.

Those are 273, crusty but likely clean up well... Replace the adjusters, originally they were interference thread so they kinda bind but as they get older they loose the binding action.. Standard 3/8-24 adjusters with lock nuts are a prudent upgrade...

Switched from Crane rockers with springs to Hughes rockers with spacers.

Car runs noticeably better, but that could also be in part to new pushrods.
