66 Coronet 500 Convert Boot, Help Please

Hi Folks. Coaching Please. We have the original Convert Boot on the car. It has Shrunk, to say the least. Is there a magic trick to get the vinyl to "relax" so that it can be snapped? It is in Great shape, but it has shrunk a bit. Best, B.

Go to a professional body shop supply (PPG) and buy UK 405 vinyl conditioner. Then apply to boot 2 or 3 times during the day. Try to snap it on, if not reapply. Had a gas tank small elbow like yours wet a small rag in vinyl conditioner wrapped with plastic. 2days soft as new, it swelled some.
