Rear window electric defroster, anyone seen it?

Have you checked? I thought all 71-74 B-body rear glass was the same.

pictures sure make it look the same.

These used to be readily available at any auto parts store. I purchased one for my 67 Fury winter rat back in 1978. Stuck it one and viola, rear window defrost.
I also used to see early VW bugs with them on the front windows as the heaters in those things were apparently awful.
Now look at the price of them!!!

Just between 2 doors... and 4 doors between them. Applies for windshield too. They are narrowed on top... and higher, for 4 doors

I had friends with those cars, it could barely pick up an AM station if you were driving past it, let alone FM. Prolly why GM dumped it.
Grew up riding in a 1977 Buick Skylark with the windshield antenna. Never had a problem with it until a crack in the windshield. Also had a 2006 Scion xB with the antenna built into the rear side glass. Worked great.

My 74 SE sunroof car had one.

I saved it along with the switch for possible future use in my 73.

Yes, up from the grave.

I have a window from my 1974 parts car. I have all the wiring up to the dash with relay. But I do not have the switch. Did you save your system to this date and do you have a pic of the switch? I'm trying to find out even what it looks like, since this is a fairly rare option.

Here's the grid rear window defrost switch from my 74.

I believe that the switch itself is the same for both defog and defrost. The mounting bracket with the light is the same for defog, defrost, fresh air hood, wagon rear window and rear lock. Seems like something else too. 71-4B

I don’t think the blower and the defrost will use the same switch. blower is 3 positions… off, low, high, while defrost is only on and off

Good point. So different switches.
