# 1 - I'm using a cast iron 62-64 water pump housing 2205862. My federal ps pump bolted right up but the pulley does not line up with the 2 groove crank pulley I have installed. Originally the 413 that I'm working on had a 4 groove crank pulley & by doing a quick measurement that pulley would most likely line up with the federal ps pump pulley.

#2 - The 413 did not come with an alternator so I'm using the original 64 Polara 318 alternator, rebuilt & upgraded to 60 amp specs. I can't seem to figure out how the alternator mounting bracket attaches to the wp housing unless I have the wrong bracket ? I'm also using Edelbrock Performer RPM aluminum heads which have 3-3/8" NC d&t holes on the front of the ps head.

Anybody provide some assistance

Thanks

The solution for this will unfortunately be called fabrication with that grouping of mismatched parts.

You may be able to use a shim or two.

The 4 row AC crank pulley has a different belt centerline than the 2 row crank pulley. When you use an AC PS pump on a non-AC car it doesn’t line up quite right. Best bet is a pulley puller. Put it on there and pull the pulley outward on the shaft until it lines up, usually about a 1/4”.

Not running out to my car to snap anshot right now but the alternator mount was the same on non-AC cars for years. Should be a picture out there to be found.
