That's why I'm a wheel junky !!you probably have a wide range of options that will look nice!
That's my next step. Did it on a 63 Valiant.chrome reverse steel wheels,
He asked "which wheels". I see a lot of different possibilities. I usually google the car, look for my color and see what looks good on others cars.Mike, sorry if we hijacked you post. Can't help it when it comes to Wheels and Tires !!!
Anything but steel wheels with hubcaps. Nobody kept those on their cars back then, they all went in the garbage. It they were on your car when you got it, they were the first things to get heaved.

I dont know about Preachr's car, but yes, i think it can be done, but only with the perfect backsace on the rims295's fit without any mods?
View attachment 1125346 I should also mention I'm heading for the 60's SS look when I was young. Pretty much all the wheels look great on these cars.
I would also like to stroke the 440 in it and go with the maxwedge hood scoop but not sure if I'll get to that point[/QUOTE
That car was for sale, did u buy it (San Mateo?)
Why would you characterize that as dumb ? Nobody wanted their car to look like a taxi cab, or mom's grocery-getter.Unfortunately true. However we did lots of things that were pretty dumb
Not only wheels. pistol grip shifters, air cleaners, manifolds and mufflers. The birth of the "DAY 2" cars.Unfortunately true. However we did lots of things that were pretty dumb
