It looks like toy manufacturer Eldon worked with Dodge and made slot car sets for Dodge in 1967, 1968, and 1969. I have recently acquired the 1968 and 1967 sets, though neither is complete. The 1967 set has the picture of a driver on the top of the box, although I am not sure if it is the picture of an actual NASCAR driver or not. Does anybody recognize the driver?

It looks like you get a cigar, ro23j. This picture of David Pearson looks almost exactly like the picture on the box. He won the NASCAR championship In 1966, 1968, and 1969 driving Chargers and just like on the box his number was six.

The old silver fox. Put Dodge back on the map with the Hemi in their new super car. :bananadance:

I have one just like it except mine has a Sweptline, Coronet RT, and a Charger RT. It was my prized possession as a kid! 440'

It may be hard to figure out from the pictures, but the first two pictures are the 1967 set and the third picture with the red box is the 1968 set you are talking about. For the 1968 set I have the 1965 Dodge pickup and the 1968 Coronet RT. I do not have the 1968 Charger RT. I have one 1967 Charger for the 1967 set. The problem is, among Eldon slot car collectors Mopar cars are some of the most expensive.

In addition to the cars I mentioned earlier, I also have a 1969 Coronet RT and a second 1968 Coronet RT. For the 69 Coronet models Eldon used the existing 68 molds and then just added 69 front and rear end chrome. So if you look at the 69 cars very closely, you’ll see that instead of rectangular side marker lights they have round marker lights.
