So this happened:

Mechanic at my shop left a truck running and somehow it jumped into reverse and smashed my front end.

I now need a new/replacement bumper. Any ideas? Anyone here have one for sale?

Looks like someone's insurance is going to be involved. Try Tri-City Plating, they straighten bumpers before rechroming.

That sucks, sorry to see.
The good side is that bumper did it's job.
That nice hood looks fine.

^^^ I was going to ask if it was a Ford too

Weird, I looked and they only had the 71-72 with the badge available.

Thanks
I just put one in the AMD shopping cart just to be sure the order for the right one sticks. I'm not buying it for you LOL :poke:

Seems as though the shop should be buying it?
And installing it...

I'd say someone backed into it, considering the minimal damage, but who am I to question a vehicle going into reverse on it's own!?

I remember them talking about that when we were doing transmissions in tech school. They would just " rattle out of park".
Never had the great opportunity to see it happen in real time though

fords have had issues slipping into R from P at least twice since the 70's.
