-- 62 Dart -- The left rear turn signal, and stop light, has stopped working -- bulb is OK -- socket is Ok -- socket is grounded - What I can see of the wires is OK - L F signal works - L R tail light works. -- Does the wiring run under the car, or through the interior ? -- Any ideas ? ------------ Fixed it -- It was a loose wire, on the brake light switch. -- Thanks, to All, for the info.

Could be a bad turn signal switch on the column. I had that once...no brake lights if that switch fails.

Left side under the tin flap just inboard of the rocker panel. Check behind the left kick panel trim for a connector. Trace the supply voltage from the switch output connector at the steering column. Do you have a FSM?

Have brake light and turn signal on the right side. -- Plus turn signals on both front.

What is FSM ?

No wiring runs under the floorboards of the car....just stuff like E-brake, fuel lines, brake lines etc.....

Is it possible for the turn signal switch to be bad, if I still have both front turn signals, and a right rear turn signal, plus brake lights on the right rear ?

Sounds to me like you might have bad connections at the bulb sockets. Usually when the signal switch acts up, it's all dead. You said in your original post that your connections were good but are you sure about that? I've had similar issues where I thought the sockets etc were good but were not clean enough....

With a test light, one of the 2 socket contacts lights (the tail light) the test light -- the other one (for brake & turn signal light does not). -- the socket is real clean, and both contacts are looking the same - real good. -- I assume that the socket is not the problem -- Your comments, on this ?

Entirely possible, each light has a separate circuit.
