Hi Everyone,
I've been a lurker for a while, but finally got around to joining! Here's my project story:
About 6 months ago (late 2024), my Dad grew tired of the Mopar madness and was ready to let his '68 Charger find a new home in my garage (he's owned it since the early 90's). After shipping it from Florida to Idaho, here's what I've done on it so far: I've replaced the ignition system, entire wiring harness, fuel system overhaul, installed Howards lifters, added a driveshaft hoop, new rear shocks, and I currently have the entire front suspension off for a rebuild...
1968 Dodge Charger
Engine: 440
Transmission: 727 with Manual Shift Kit and 2,500 B&M converter
Final Drive: 3.73:1
440 Engine Specs:
+.030 Forged pistons (10.2:1), Edelbrock Performer RPM ported heads, Edelbrock Torquer intake, Quickflow 750 DPR carb, MSD Ignition, Comp Extreme Energy Cam and pushrods (285 dur at .050 + .525 lift), Crane Rockers (1.5:1 gold rollers), Hooker Super Comp 1 7/8" headers, high-volume/adjustable Melling oil pump, etc...
