FINALLY the light at the end of the tunnel I think!

Finally have WOT!
2 years ago I replaced my front carpet.
The jute underneath gas pedal was keeping it up...
Scraped the padding off and voila.
So many stupid overlooks...

I've got the car consistently running low 9.50's now. Finally getting my 60 ft. to where Im happy.
Went 1.29 last Saturday.
Still have a bunch of racing to do this year. Hopefully going to make some tweaks over the winter and get this thing a little quicker.
Pretty happy with the 1.29 especially with 162 passes on my MT's.
New slicks on the way for some fall air numbers...

As you probably have seen, I've been trying to sort out this Gen 3 combo for 2 years now.
Sometimes searching for big issues you overlook the basics.
After finding a bunch of things wrong in the engine this spring I decided to build it myself. Until Saturday, my best e.t. after rebuild was 9.84@ 134.7. As it got warmer out, the car was running 10.0s. Something was still off.
Although my consistency was now there, it was slow.
I had a race Saturday with my NODRAMA club.
First pass was 9.95@132.8
Sitting in the pits staring at the car during an extended oil down cleanup, I grabbed a buddy and had him push gas pedal to the floor.
Throttle blades were at about 3/4 open...
Past experience with my 440's had me believe there wasn't much gain by opening up fully for some reason.
But I spent time to get it as close as I could to fully open anyway. It's still not completely there but I'll work on that this week.
So I go up for my second timeshot and was i surprised...
9.59@138! I still only have 22° of timing and it should take 25.
1st round my opponent went red so I ran it out and went 9.58@ 138.23.
Best part is I made it to the finals but lost.
Car was very consistent. First 3 passes @ 1/8 mile were all 6.06@112 and last 3 (round Robin so it was hot) were 6.08's@112.
I think Im finally happy.
Ps D.A was 2700 most of the day.
Looking back in my log book from last year with DA @ 2700 I was running 9.90's.

Props to you for perseverance, it can get frustrating! Nice running combo. What does it weigh with you? Did you dyno the engine? I know Steff found some power opening up the plenum in that intake if you haven't already. And there's more in the 60ft for sure. Nice!

The car weighs 3160 with me in it. I heard there are impressive gains to be had opening up this intake. Its going out for work over the winter. I didn't dyno it. The track tells the tale...
