My 66 Satellite street car project

I put a FASS Titanium on my 99.

Got the front cage section mocked up and welded. Wouldn’t have been able to get all the way around the tube in the car anyway. Added The rear view mirror bracket and front window net mount. 80 grit DA on the tubing then a coat of epoxy primer. Going to try and arch the existing roll bar black with some different %’s of flattener till it’s close then spray it out.

Most people would’ve forgot the rear view mirror mount. Looks good!

Updates, updates, updates! Lots been done over the past couple months. If I would have realized how much work this was going to be I probably wouldn’t have done it. But here we are.

Got the cage mocked up and tacked in place. Because I can’t TIG weld for **** I sent it out to Xtreme racing engines in Newton NJ to have it all welded in.

Pull the whole thing back out and painted what I could not be able to get to once installed.

Had the window net made and figured out the brackets. I used removable rods on both ends so could take it all the way out when the swing out bars are removed. I don’t drive the car around town with the bars in.

What a nightmare to paint it. Wrapped the whole car inside and out. Sanded the entire thing down with 320 grit. Epoxy primer then black base and satin clear.
