Corporal Corrosion 1969 dodge Coronet. More a question thread than a build?

So it arrived with an R/T or 500 rear panel and it has been returned to this finish panel?

Correct, it also has an RT grill even though it’s a 440 model. At some point it was being upbadged. I didn’t dig the center reflector and stumbled on the lower trim version on eBay. Still no idea if it’s actually correct but I don’t really care I like the look.

If you decide to go 8 3/4 rear, I have one 2.5 hours north of you. Nothing fancy, open diff 742, 3.23 (I think) smaller brakes. Yours for the taking. Supposed to have been in a 68 Plymouth B Body, but I can double check measurements if you are going to take a road trip.

Thanks, it will probably be awhile before I make any decisions or changes in the drivetrain though.
Of course watch my pinion snap off next weekend and force the issue!

Well this July makes it one year since I bought this car, and the time flew by. It still needs a ton of things and looks like it crawled out of an episode of RoadKill but its had a lot of quality of life improvements and has always been a driveable project. I won't take it on the freeway for a long drive until I do more front end work, but I can drive it all over my small down without much worry.
I don't really write out project plans since its not like I want to really know what I'm investing in a frivolous project, but here is what I can recall doing. This is all weekend and occasional weekday evening stuff as I have a full time job.

Year one:
A lot of floor patching, its not perfect but it will prevent any issues from getting worse and if the next guy wants to do whole pans I didn't really make that process more difficult.
It now has solid and reliable charging (how that was accomplished is one of those things debated all over the forum, we will not do that in this thread)
I have good reliable engine communication now with a DIY dash and aftermarket gauges. Still need to pretty that up and get all the gauges to match.
Vintage AM/FM/CB radio and new 6x9 speakers in the back.
The above gauges and radio, are powered by a parallel electric system with modern fuses.
Headlight relay kit from Crackedback
New fuel tank (that job sucked, more my fault than anything tho)
Nice new ProCar Rally seats (and got a little money for the old seats)
Seat belts.
New water pump, fuel pump and alt and tune up.
American Racing Vector wheels and new tires.
Fixed the rear brakes' premature locking issue.
New KYB shocks all around.
Tie rod, yes only one, other parts are in my garage waiting.
New rear package tray panel.
New sill plates which took a couple of tries and is still not perfect because of current vendors.
Local shop built dual exhaust with FlowMasters.

Year two plans, this may be overly ambitious:
Carpet and sound deadening (I ordered that last night)
Dig in to the brakes more, maybe upgrade?
Get some kind of HVAC going, I don't even have a working heater.
Swap to a 4 barrel, still gathering parts.

Now some random pics showing its current status:

I've spent enough time in Salinas, you don't really need a heater... Good progress so far...

Thanks. The weather has been pretty cold and cloudy most of time for the last couple of years, I grew up further south where you really knew it was summertime, so I'm always disappointed up here.

Sounds more like Castroville than Salinas... At least that's how it was back in the early 90's when I was living in Santa Cruz/Aptos...
