i need to redo my stripe on the trunk as im adjusting the trunk lid and it won't match the fender when its done.

what's the best way to remove the stripe? heat, peel, then denatured alcohol?

Heat is your best friend. Try a blow dryer first. Leave heat guns for professionals.....if you value your paint job.

was thinking about that. as i was using a heat gun on shrink wrap last night and how hot that stuff gets.

hair dryer and pull in big sheets if possible?

Once you peel an edge up, you can apply moderate heat to the mating area and slowly peel away, clean with 3m adhesive remover.

wont harm the paint underneath? do you use alcohol after as a prep to remove oils before soap/wet applying the decal?

spray with the 3m adhesive remover as I stated. As far as the alcohol, I drink that after I'm finished.
