Shop plans finally coming together!

Definitely will eliminate any kind of flex, so are soffits vented and what are you doing for insulation?

Soffits and ridge vented. Ceiling will be blow in, walls R19 or better , either foam or Bat, whichever is cheaper. It is definitely rigid! Diagonal bracing between the trusses too.

Bat is definitely cheaper I installed closed cell spray foam on my shop 42x96 50k
 
Moving along, roof is done, metal soffits done, side metal is 1/2 done on north side. Soffits took a lot of time. My boys got me this really cool Father’s Day gift for the shop too!

This is as far as we can get for the next couple weeks until the concrete gets poured. Steel this coming week, concrete pour the week after. Getting close!

Mud day…….. finally! Long wait to get the best concrete guy in the area. Pouring 6” thick, steel reinforced concrete, 3 truckloads, almost 30 yards.

So the guys wrapped up yesterday afternoon. This is where I take over and install garage doors and finish out the inside. I’m super happy with the way it turned out!

You'll be blown away at how much room you have now empty compared to what it will be like when populated. I was like, where did all my space go?
 
My Motto: A man can't have too many pole barns! Old photo, the 5 stall now has a lean to on the end with the open stalls (trailers). 40' semi-trailer is steel storage (I am a hoarder).

LOL,I ran into the same dilemma with my previous 30x40x10 shop. Got some help from my kids. This one’s bigger (32x48x14), and no wife & kids junk allowed! Of course I have picked up another car since then, but they’ll take up a lot less space once put back together.
