F.A.S.T. cars there is nothing stock about them, especially the competitive guys
running sub 10's especially...
"The Real F.A.S.T." participants except the stock appearances'
that's the draw to them, ultimate sleepers, super secretive combos, very competitive too
all manifolds are ported, head are epoxied/ported to bejesus out of them
bigger valve, special 1 off grind camshafts, tricked out flow'd carb/s,
very lil' off the shelf stuff
it may look off the shelf/stock "Appearing" from the exterior,
You can bet your bottom dollar, that it isn't
including the tires they use, they aren't from the local Big O, for damn sure
even if they may be/look like a f-70/15, they aren't... (in size maybe only)
sssssssssshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

How about a heads up race with day TWO tires and rims such as these. I mean....... we all know that all those Steel wheels, Spider wheels with their Good Year PolyGlas GT's, Firestone Wide Ovals and Blue streaks were thrown in the nearest dumpsters in favor of Super Stock Formula 1's, JC Penny A/FX grabbers and Mickey Thompson's mounted on Cragars SS's, Halibrands and Keystones Classics.

There you go.
Let the secrets of trick tire technology take a back seat to a neutral company at a F.A.S.T event supplying the rims and tires. In this current state, Pro-Trac's would probably be the tires of choice.
A guy I knew way back in the 70's was cleaning everybody's clock on the street with a pair of studded snow tires on the rear of his stick shift big block Malibu. He preceded the F.A.S.T tire technology by almost 40 years.

As to the tires in FAST, all the cars I know are running repro tires that anyone can buy. No special rubber no soaking in mineral spirits, no retreads. Some will cut the treads down to the wear bars or break in the sidewalls but that’s it.

I like how he doesn't understand that non stock appearing steering mods don't fit the rules in a stock appearing class

What's the fastest steel chevy run these days?

Edit : I see it's a 69 camaro, run by the same guy
