Progress. Updates. And questions.

Bought a damper. Neutral balanced. Seems like it's too big. The one I bought. Says 7.3 inches. It's showing that 360 LA motors came with 7.25. The part says it's for a 360 LA or mag between 1964-2003. Any ideas? @RemCharger @icetech. This engine was originally a 1990 d150. Maybe I'd need a different balancer. Or timing cover?

well.. first thing did you build a stroker or change the guts? 360s are external balanced.. neutral would be internal balance (unless i'm wrong..) do you have the original balancer to compare?

Yes it's a stroker it's internally balanced. The balancer I bought had counter weights for it but I do not have them on.

k.. sorry didn't read back... i'm no help.. i still use a stock balancer and the block for my stroker is never getting done.. sooo..

I would get a proper size balancer if it's hitting.

I'm an idiot guys. (If you haven't guessed by now.) Got the windage tray all move up. Got the damper in and just needed to push it in all the way. It fits perfectly. Did run into an issue with the cool gap intake. It dosent lign up very well. It's the jegs branded one and I do see alot of people are having the same issues as me. I'm going to try and use a thinner gasket. And see if that helps at all. And if not. I'm going to blow out the bolt holes to be able yo get the right angle. It's just cheaper and easier than buying a new intake as well. I'm also unsure what jegs policy is on returning parts that I've already tried fitting. It's got some gasket juice on it and suck. I'm sure I an clean it up nice. But I'd rather just open the holes up wider to fit. Any ideas or imput would be appreciated.

It's starting to get really close and I'm getting antsy hahah. Football season is here and I primarily work on this thing on Sundays so production is about to go way down hahahah. Will have updates when I do get more done though. Thanks for the advice and sticking with me.

looks good.. just don't rush and miss something

You really went to town there
Turn the crank to see if tray rubs?
Check clearance between balancer and water pump?
Trial fit oil pan to see if it clears tray?
Put intake on bare, and take close up pics of said bolt holes?

yeah everything turns great balancer clears water pump pretty good oil pan fits pretty good. ive drilled out the holes on the intake. its a jegs brand air gap. it may be junk. i may just use the eddlebrock intake that already on my 318. but we will see. it fits a bit better after drilling but ill still need to clearance some of the holes a bit. i need to get a thinner gasket i think as well. the one i got was a bit thick. hopefully this weekend intake will go on permanently. i still need to get water pump pulley. torque converter. and then it should be ready to go in. i have an hei dist. going in as well. im pretty sure ill end up re using the power steering pump and accessory brackets from the original 318. im also deleting the ac so i should free up a bunch of space and hoses and such. WERE GETTING THERE. im getting amped up

I like TTI. Spendy but they fit well.
any message/denting needed. clearances work okay with steering and starter? any idea on length as well? id prefer mid length from my research but i can only seem to find long tubes or shorties for the 73 b body small blocks.

My only experience is on my 65 with a bb. There are several variables in my combo due to k-frame used, mount swap, engine used etc. Therefore I ordered them uncoated so I could massage. Someone else with hands on experience with your combo should be chiming in. Maybe check the exhaust section plus the one dealing with your era to see if there is any good feedback.
