Progress. Updates. And questions.

Bought a damper. Neutral balanced. Seems like it's too big. The one I bought. Says 7.3 inches. It's showing that 360 LA motors came with 7.25. The part says it's for a 360 LA or mag between 1964-2003. Any ideas? @RemCharger @icetech. This engine was originally a 1990 d150. Maybe I'd need a different balancer. Or timing cover?

well.. first thing did you build a stroker or change the guts? 360s are external balanced.. neutral would be internal balance (unless i'm wrong..) do you have the original balancer to compare?

Yes it's a stroker it's internally balanced. The balancer I bought had counter weights for it but I do not have them on.

k.. sorry didn't read back... i'm no help.. i still use a stock balancer and the block for my stroker is never getting done.. sooo..

I would get a proper size balancer if it's hitting.

I'm an idiot guys. (If you haven't guessed by now.) Got the windage tray all move up. Got the damper in and just needed to push it in all the way. It fits perfectly. Did run into an issue with the cool gap intake. It dosent lign up very well. It's the jegs branded one and I do see alot of people are having the same issues as me. I'm going to try and use a thinner gasket. And see if that helps at all. And if not. I'm going to blow out the bolt holes to be able yo get the right angle. It's just cheaper and easier than buying a new intake as well. I'm also unsure what jegs policy is on returning parts that I've already tried fitting. It's got some gasket juice on it and suck. I'm sure I an clean it up nice. But I'd rather just open the holes up wider to fit. Any ideas or imput would be appreciated.

It's starting to get really close and I'm getting antsy hahah. Football season is here and I primarily work on this thing on Sundays so production is about to go way down hahahah. Will have updates when I do get more done though. Thanks for the advice and sticking with me.

looks good.. just don't rush and miss something

You really went to town there
Turn the crank to see if tray rubs?
Check clearance between balancer and water pump?
Trial fit oil pan to see if it clears tray?
Put intake on bare, and take close up pics of said bolt holes?
