Not to be rude, but if you couldn’t get them to work, you didn’t install them properly. They literally turn into the trim and wedge in tight to the trim. The ends are tapered so they get tighter as they’re turned in. I actually had some factory connectors for one piece and put it on with those...
I used these on my 64 Polara. Got the larger ones for the bigger trim and these for the smaller. They work great and are cheap. 25 of the small ones are like $11. I just pushed them in from the outside how ever far I could get them and then grabbed them from the inside with pliers and gave each...
...I can shave the water pump hub down an 1/8”, so that would get me down to an 1/8”, but I’m having a hard time finding that last little bit.
*I think I may have it, maybe. If you pull the fan blade off you can remove spacers to recess the fan against the motor. You still have the fan hub...
I’m currently only running an alternator, so I was just gonna run a standard v belt off the crank if I switched to electric. If I keep a mechanical pump it’s really no issue moving the alternator back to get the pulleys to line up. I actually had to adjust the alignment slightly on the Tuff...
It is. I think I can get close with getting a radiator that fits flush with the support, and a somewhat shallower water pump. Even the electric ones seem like they’re just as deep if not deeper than stock.
Tried some searching but didn’t find anything. Wanting to add some room between my water pump and radiator so I can run the Dorman 620-118 electric fan. Anyone who has a 64 big block Dodge Polara knows that Mother Mopar did us no favors and left hardly any room in front of the motor, but loads...
1964 Polara rechromed rear bumper guard frames. These came with a project car I bought but I’m not gonna use them. I’d rather look at three bumper bolts plugging the holes on top of the bumper than these. Just not my thing and I’m not going for originality. $175 for the pair, shipped to the...
That would be awesome if you could. Still haven’t gotten anywhere on the bolts.
I did get my Gerst setup installed. Although I haven’t driven the car yet, I can tell it’s a pretty amazing system. You’re going to be amazed at how well put together it is and how easy it goes together.
Bought a car that had the seats redone and they weren’t reassembled. Unfortunately, the pivot bolts are nowhere to be found. I’ve searched online and haven’t located a set. Anyone know where four could be found? Or, does anyone know the measurements of the factory pivot bolts so I can make...
Long shot, but does this build sheet belong to anyone’s car? Came with a 64 Polara 500 I just got, but it doesn’t belong to my car. The car originally came out of New Mexico and apparently had the front buckets swapped out at some point. This was found in the passenger seat back. It’s in great...
Here it is. A little bit of paint work and it’s ready for reassembly. TON of new parts, to include all new interior. I’ll add AC and this one will become my daily. My other 64 500 will be the toy, once it’s finished.
Just picked up another 64 Polara 500 and was hoping for a little help decoding the fender tag, as it’s a little like trying to read Chinese. I know it’s a factory four speed car and it currently has a 440 in it that is not the original motor. Previous owner thinks it was a 383 car but he isn’t...
Putting together my 64 Polara and am needing a transmission crossmember. I was looking at one of the universal tubular styles and was wondering if anyone has had any luck with putting one in. From what I can tell, in order to get the mount to line up properly, it would need to go in line with...
