Yes, I figured it out. You can not use studs on the two front lower holes. The studs were preventing the valve cover from seating. Installed bolts after the valve cover was seated. Will try and post a picture later.
Just got through with the same conversion. I wound up changing the distribution block to a disc brake one and I added the hold off valve to the rear cylinders.
2355 will yield about 9.7 with an 88cc head and .020 gasket, The 2295 will yield about 10.8. keep in mind the 2295 is a race piston, needs more clearance and will be noisier.
L2266 can be made to work. Closed chambered with shim gasket will get you to 9.5 without milling, but they are heavy (876g) I prefer SRPs basically JEs (690g)
