I don't want the belts to match what they are now, just want them to be what they were originally, if possible. So, if you look at the second pic I originally posted, they would probably be something in between the sets and carpet.
I went to a car show at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway yesterday, in conjunction with the SVRA weekend event. There were only three Mopars there, a 1951 restored red Plymouth Suburban, with a modern tan interior, a 1965 Dodge convertible, with light blue(turquoise) belts matching the carpet...
Surprisingly got the color swatches today. The first one looks closest to what the belts look like now. None of them are a perfect match for the carpet! If the belt color is supposed to match the carpet, has anybody ever seen carpet in color#1?
I sent an email to Ssnake Oyl Products this past weekend and Mary has been in touch with me. She said the belts normally match the carpet color. I sent her a pic of my carpet, which is different from the seats. She said it looked like "rust" color! I asked her what the color name is, and she...

Thanks Dako! I expected more replies, but we can see that didn't happen. So I'm assuming the seat belts aren't porous, allowing the dye to soak into them. I just found a red seat belt color, which is quite dark, in the 1966 Belvedere sales brochure. Other than that, I haven't found anything...
1966 Satellite, bright red interior, belts faded, wanna get the right color and restore them. Mine look like a wine color after cleaning. Are they supposed to be a bit of a contrast, or match the color of the seats? Thought about getting RIT, and they had 3 different shades of red, including...
CamJam, on the AMC forum, did a very thorough job on his seat belt resto. It was also seven years ago, so who knows what the prices are now. So I have a '66 Satellite with the bright red interior. My neighbor and I cleaned the rear belts yesterday, first with a lackluster showing from Krud...
Both sides are hard to roll up, but the driver's side stays up. In fact, even the quarter windows are a pain to work. The driver's door window, when coming back down, at about an inch above the door, sounds like it jumps into another track. Does that make sense?
I was just working the...
So, when I roll up the window on the passenger door, and let the handle go, the window comes back down a third of the way. Does that mean the regulator is bad, needs greased, which I have tried, or something else?
If it needs replaced, what will interchange with it? Is there an internet...
Hi Fran, I've got the other piece for the console, as well as the chrome backing and carpet piece; I just didn't include them in first post. Thanks for the detailed post about cleaning the console. I'm confused by "nylon clean" between the grooves. Is that a product or what?
So, this is the console in my 66 Satellite. Is it correct? If so, is there a specific paint to use for touchup on the fins, chrome and flat silver colors?
Changed my screenname from Blades to IndySatLite.
I've got some missing interior pieces and some that are incomplete. First is this high beam cover(grommet?) that's not all there. Second is a missing connector rod to pass.side sun visor. Are these available anywhere? Third, is 614 gold...
So, just remove the carpet and hope the tray looks presentable? I removed the carpet from the package tray, and other than some discoloration here and there, there is a hole on each speaker section. Also, when I was looking at new trays from Classic Industries, they had a version with harness...
