Looking to run a 295/50/r15 on the rear. For a 15x10 would 5 or 5.5” BS likely fit best? I’d prefer the tire not touch the lip of the fender or rub.
What do most people like up front? 15x7? 15x6? What sort of backspacing?
I’m looking into the Summit Quick 8 rims for something cheap and half...
...cranked the torsion bars up about 1.5 inches. The tires fit with no issues, and seem to be great on the front of this old car.
So, final tiresizes....
Rear - 295x65x15 on a 15x8 rim with 4.5 inch backspacing.
Front 235x70x15 on a 15x6 rim.
I hope this helps anyone wondering about...
Men and tires... can someone explain what happened with men's mind? Is it the muscular alter ego... or just the creation of an imaginary conditioned idealized self or a kind of mass psychoses or mass formation? Or do the 'musle men' share a 'big tire size'-gene for maximum wheel well...
235x75x15 is actually the tire size I am considering. My headers are Dougs that are 100% under chassis. I dont have the tube sneaking through the inner fender. My 28" Mickey Thompsons did not rub, so I think I should be good with the 235x75x15. I am pretty sure I will go with the Torque Thrusts...
I have a '67 Coronet R/T that I'd like to up grade the wheels and tiresizes. It currently have the 14" steels with dog dishes. I'd like to go old school with a set of Cragar SS wheels like the days of Dick Landy and his '67 Super Stock Dodge Coronet. Was thinking 7" in the front and an 8" in...
If you want to buy a "loose" over the counter, cheaper 10"-11"one size fits all convertor a 2500 works good w 3.23- 3.55. 2500- 3000 stall with 3.90- 4.10s. Some guys can run a 3500 w 4.10s and a short tire. If you buy a loose 4000 stall it is pretty much for drag racing.
If you want a better...
I am interested in your wheel/tire set up with the 14", mag wheels, I assume. I understand that you have had 14"? Which tires and sizes ?
Can you post some pictures with the 14" mag wheels on?
...really refers to. For me at this stage of the build that is a major focus. As you can see, at this point the car barely even exists. So tiresizes, gearing etc. needs at this point to be forecast to something reasonably close. So yes, I have little money for experimentation. As it stands I'll...
You may try your fly-by-night local tire outlets
as they pick up discontuned brands and tiresizes. Some of their tires will be brands
or names no one has ever heard of.
The one thing in your favor is all tires must
adhere to DOT specifications if sold in the
US. Beware of how long these tires...
Have really searched before posting.
My car has the awesome looking BFG 295/50 & 245/60 combo. I think only thing that would look better would be radials that look like bias ply in the same sizes... so about a G60 in the front, and a N50 in the rear(correct me if I'm wrong about the...
Great info, thanks Kern Dog. I have a set of 1.12" bars on the shelf, I may slip them in on the initial assembly. The 1-3/8"front bar I have already installed is solid, but I also have a hollow Hotchkis 1-3/8 that goes with the 1.12 bars for another project. So with the solid bar, I should be...
These are 18" and 20" on a 73. The wheel opening are different than on your wagon, make sure you have the room. The rear tires I went with are 265 /45 R20 and are 29.4" tall. The fronts are 245/50 R18 and are 27.7" tall. You wont find an 18" and 20" tire in the 24" to 26" tall sizes like you...
I see that you are very new.
You will have.much more responses to your question if you post in the tires and wheel section.
That said, IF those are the correct backspace, those wheels should work. I would run one size smaller tire on each end. Lots of tire is hard to get under a 66/67 b-body...
If clocked wrong, it won't necessarily strip. I do agree the Mopar chart will be real close. Since the FSM gives tiresizes from "70 not diameter, I'm guessing at what size is a 26" diameter. But 30 or 31 should be correct.
Have a '64 Sport Fury that is currently running very old 215/65 R15's in the front and 235/60 R15's in the rear--all on American Racing Torque Thrusts. Front wheels are 7 1/2" and rear wheels are 8 1/2". I heard Mark Worman on GYC TV show recently say that on a '68 Charger, he would routinely...
I’m looking at getting some new wheels for my 1969 bee and a lot of the wheels I’m looking at are on back order in the sizes I want. Initially I was thinking 17x7 fronts with 17x8 rears. But the wheels I found only come in 17x8. They are 0 offset and 4.5” backspacing. Curious how skinny of a...
