There is (almost) no such thing as a too-big head for a stroker bbm.
EM did a dyno comparison of a 240 TF, and a 270 (small size mw port). The 270 was better everywhere, even torque at the bottom of the pull.
Bbc heads that are 400+ cc's, and 500cfm are available. You only need to write a check.

.88 bars were used from 62- 72 B body with small blocks, 383 and 400 2 barrel. Post #1 in this thread from 2021 has a good chart.

That chart is not in line with what I have measured in the real world. That chart looks like replacement bars, not OEM bars installed in the cars when new.
I had .88 bars in the three B body cars that I have owned.
Several A body cars I've had .85 bars that are also not on the list you posted.
