The capacitor was only required to mute the Make/Break Contacts within the voltage limiter, as a slight voltage spike may cause some audible interference on the AM radio... Just my $0.02...

LOL !! I installed LED taillights. The flashers/signals weren't working. I bought 6 new relays of different types - electronic ones, ones with ground pigtails and a few more. Ended up using both originals (one round one square) but one needed the leads flipped. AND, they will only work where...

I love all those old trucks. Getting ready to pick this one up in a few days, rust free Slant six short bed. Probably put a 392 or something similar in it, in the near future.

    Glad I changed camshafts

My Lunati looked like that after a few thousand miles. I pulled it in 2014 to run a smaller cam....that lost lobes in 2022. I put the Lunati back in and it runs fine. For having a cam so wild, the engine runs as smooth as ever.

    Glad I changed camshafts

So I swapped cams in my GTX in May. Not because it was running bad, but because I wanted a bit more duration. Old cam was a Hughes STL3842 with Hughes supplied edm lifters. And I always used either VR1 or Driven oil. So I started looking at the cam and noticed crown was gone on several lifters...

    Borgeson Update

I misspoke. I dropped a lifter and don’t have my engine back together yet. My pump has three shims in it when I took it apart a while back, sorry I don’t know what I was thinking.Im going to take one shim out to get more pressure and hopefully that takes care of it without any extra hissing sound.

    Green Bearing Question

Don't forget there's a different gasket to make up for the thickness of the lock ring. It's not the same as the white foam gasket.
