My dad loved it and it was a go anywhere machine. It came with white spoke wheels and large off road tires. I took it through high waters till it started to float and bounce from one tire to the other for traction. My only problem with it was the fact that it was a rust bucket, which they fixed...

Do your cars have a names?

My power wagon is ‘Mack’, my old roadrunner was ‘Annie’ for the orange paint, and my 4Runner is ‘the Batmobile’. It got its name one winter when my dad and I were driving to my house from the shop and I had grabbed my dirty insulated coveralls and thrown them in the back, intending to wash...

Reverse lights under dash Wire routing 65 Belv

very helpful, much appreciated. I have the single speed wiper switch (#2497282) but I see there is a spade on the switch that is not used when the harness connector plugs into the switch, that must be where the white reverse wire plugs into.

    Bird Nerds

A very impressive bird! Our feeders attract the smaller woodpeckers, but have not yet brought a Pileated in. We have them in our area, but I have not seen one up close. Good for you! We live near the North shore of Lake Erie, which is a fall migratory route for many birds, including raptors. In...

    Rebuilding LemonWedge.

But if the switch operates on the column, I assume the only way that works is if the car retains the column shifter (???). That’s long gone here. I’ve never stood behind my car while it’s in reverse, but I am assuming they haven’t worked since I went to the B&M floor shifter decades ago...

    Camshaft selection for Mild 440?

I use the Mopar Performance Magnum cam in my big blocks. This is the one used in 383 RoadRunner and 440 Magnum factory engines. It has a nice rumble at idle, and pulls smoothly to 5500 rpm. Pretty hard to beat factory engineering for a street motor. It gives good vacuum for power brakes. About...
