    Gear Vendors on a A833

It's slower since the overall gear ratio changed. No big deal as the wagon is a cruiser and I am more interested in cutting the rpm when on the road.

Installation Tips for Longtube Headers in 383

One thing nobody mentioned. Disconnect the battery prior to diving in on this change. Doing this covers you from unintentionally short circuiting when you touch the starter or alternator when you're working.

    Gear Vendors on a A833

I had a 300rpm drop just going to 255/70-15 tires[ 28.94"] from the 215/70-14's[ 25.75"] with my 3.23's. I do plan on a GV behind the 727 in the future.

    PCV Valve Help

Make sure there is a baffle of some sort on the rocker side of those covers. Otherwise the valve will enable the oil to get sucked out.

440 intake manifold will the hood shut

Earlier this morning I checked out Edelbrocks site for filter units. A friend of mine is having the same fitment issues on his Charger. Has to use a spacer otherwise the base hits the choke. Anyway, looking at the #1221 unit, the base still looks like it's formed for the center feed Holley's...

Mopar high torque starter electrical connection clearance issues. Is there a brand of these that is better?

On mine, I plan on doing a pigtail harness of sorts. No way to connect anything when it gets in the car with the headers on too.

Mopar high torque starter electrical connection clearance issues. Is there a brand of these that is better?

I'm using a Powermaster 9523 for my 65. On the 65, it has a 500" Indy low deck aluminum wedge which has a bit wider block. I tried a Dakota starter but that was a for sure no go. The 9523 is clockable with 4 positions. I tried all 4 and got the best all around on the 3rd spot I believe. It had...

Fuel system update on 67 Coronet 440cid

I have a 67 wagon w/440 out here. We've got E15 and so far it's not bad. When I do get into warmer areas, there is some percolation, but it hasn't been a massive issue. The car has just a standard oe style pump on it. Down the road I want to do multi point efi. I would put a better after pump...

440 intake manifold will the hood shut

Yes. Early ones, mid 60's and back I think, were 4 7/32". Don't remember when they went to 5 1/8". I wanted to put an AFB/AVS on the wagon, 67, but could not get the right base for it. As it sits right now, there is 1/2-3/4" of clearance with what I have. Performer RPM also. Regular Performer is...

440 intake manifold will the hood shut

The drop base you need looks like it was formed over a huge Bagel. That will fit Q-jets, TQ's, AFB's/AVS's, Holley's. Most likely the one you're speaking of is like mine which only fits dual feed Holley's due to its contours. Other carb's need a spacer between it and the carb. In the first...
