I remember a friend in high school had an early fox body Mustang. With a police interceptor 351-2V. It was the fastest car in town, for high school kids anyway.
Give it a whirl, I’d look for the 2 barrel single plane intake if it were mine.
My 383 was a chore to start without a choke. Seemed like I couldn’t pump it enough to get it to fire off it but, would run after a couple seconds. I finally got enough part’s together to have a functioning choke. Now pump it once to set the choke and turn the key, she lites off and stays...
I bought an Edelbrock air cleaner to go on my Carter (Edelbrock) carb. It doesn’t work as well. It hits the fuel inlet. Haven’t got past thst hurdle to see if choke linkage interferes.
For what it’s worth, I was struggling with a condition that sounded very much like what your describing. I’ve been following this thread closely. Last night the car was running good other than the off idle stumble than suddenly started barely running then died. Almost like out of gas. I...

Funny how timing is everything . Oh course with the quote I assumed you all would known I was asking about the car quest part number.
I prefer a merlot goes well with a juicy steak.
Anyone got a source for just the float for a sending unit? My gauge works when the float is floating. Its got a couple of rot holes in it that I tried to solder closed to no avail. When I google it I get results for mustang floats. Do these interchange? 68 coronet
Lead sub, I don’t use any in the 68 383, not sure if that will cause problems down the road. If yit does oh well good excuse for new heads.
Don’t worry about the ethenal in gasoline. Just a big farse. Ive never been choosy and never had a problem.
