    AGM Batteries in older cars

Nothing wrong with lead/acid. My Dually that was built in Oct of 02, still has one of the original production-line batteries in it. I do like AGM, though. They're all decent...if you keep a tender on them.

    Lithium battery

No idea. It was 10 years ago, and I don't talk with him. I removed them from my bikes, after that.

    Lithium battery

A friend was out with "the guys" on a sportbike ride. He had one in his ultra light-weight Yamaha. They were having lunch, and a person came in to ask "who has the bike that's on fire?" Not pretty.

    Soybean wires.

I've used/tried everything, except poison. Nothing seems to work better than snap-traps. I won't use poison, because I don't want to kill my dogs or the feral cats that help with rodent control. I'll spread a couple large boxes of moth-balls on the floor on my car-storage garage. It seems to...

    Soybean wires.

Been going on for years. A friend of mine, is a parts manager at a Chrysler dealer. After the EFI harness got eaten out of my dually, he told me that he orders dozens of harnesses for various new cars that sit in inventory for any length of time. People buy a new car, and it won't run when they...

    Need wiring for my race/streetcar....

Have a guy coming out tomorrow. He may do it in my shop. He liked the idea of heat and carpet. I'm hoping this works out.

    Need wiring for my race/streetcar....

I'm at a standstill on Krusty, as my wiring guy cannot get to it anytime in the near future. I need someone to tie new front and rear harnesses, into a racecar style system. I'll need turn signals [toggle switch] and brake lights [pressure switch], along with the charging system and everything...

    Lightweight car batteries

A friend lost his huge-dollar sportbike to a lithium battery. He was having lunch with some other guys....and people were yelling "there's a bike on fire!!!" Apparently, it was quite the little inferno.

MSD 6 Box, New Vs older

I'll get a picture, when I can. We had severe flooding, twice in the last 2 days. I'm busy with the basement and such...

MSD 6 Box, New Vs older

I have 5 older 6AL's in a box in the garage. They all worked great when removed from project cars. I've never personally had a MSD unit go bad, but I'm about to buy a new "programable/digital" unit. I'm hoping for the best. I'm selling the older units for 200 each.

    AGM battery?

Old MSD box specific for mopar?

Definitely old, and for mopars. I remember the first guys around town with them. Serious racecar stuff! LOL

    16 volt starter

I always used a 12 volt starter, with my 16 volt system. It always cranked.

    Ammeter ?

I've always by-passed my amp gauges. Had one cause a fire, back in the day. It smoked the whole dash-harness and charging circuit, outta my Hurst-300.

Alternator is overcharging and burning up the output wire

Could be almost anywhere. I'd start with the grounds. I ended-up replacing the entire dash harness, rewiring the ignition wiring that burned, checking alternator output, new regulator, a couple gauges, and the ignition-switch....before everything worked correctly in my road runner. I sold it...

    Superbrightleds ??

They work well. Used a few of their products. I still try to use USA stuff, when available.

Going to buy a new Harness for my 70. Which one?

Run a painless 8 circuit fuse-box for your accessories. I'd run a new M&H for the rest of the car. There's also 3 or more factory harnesses...front to rear.

Need some help on troubleshooting dash gauges

I ended up replacing my dash harness, engine harness, and some gauges. All is good. This 50 year-old ****, just doesn't get it.
