So I have been working on gaping the trunk lid from my 69 Charger and have found a problem that I am not sure how to fix.
I have established the 3/16 gap on the 3 sides (looks good)

I am in the process of door gapping, and after getting the gaps close I thought I should install the upper and lower bumper stops to check the outer alignment to quarter and door position (in and out to the striker)
I am working with an original inner door that I skinned with an AMD door skin...

I am getting ready to set all the panel gaps and install UScartool subframe connectors.
Presently the car is sitting on a body jig. And it will go on a rotisserie to finish out the bottom and all body work.
(The body jig supports the car at the 8 frame locations)

In my case I have spot primed welded areas with duplicolor 2 in 1 primer. Which is a rattle can and is according to there tech sheet lacquer based.
Later on I will use K36 urethane primer.
I have been told that eventually I would have a problem because urethane does not like lacquer and wont...
Working on my 69 charger panel gaps. I installed an AMD door skin (which has not been welded) I thought I should put the vent wing in and noticed this 1/2 inch gap. There is no other weather stripping installed.
Does this look right?

I think my tail panel may be out of position as the bumper bracket holes don't line up. If I could get a dimension along the trunk lock support, from the floor to the high point of the tail panel that would help! I am getting 13-1/4

Another topic brought this up and I would like to know how everyone is fixing these areas.
Typically there are 3 areas (on each side of the car) that had the factory lead.
Quarter panel 2 roof,
a-pillar 2 cowl,
and rocker 2 quarter panel.
I thought that it was acceptable to weld the entire...
Ok am I missing something?
When assemble the roller with the clip on I have a gap between the clip and roller.
Comparing to an original roller, the stud is longer by about 1/8 inch. Which is what my gap is.
Any suggestions?
