Tubes are cracked but I'll check VS also. And that's a good reason to keep vents.

Roger that! I'm I the US twice a month but I'll check national for pricing. 4 vents on mine. Do I have to keep these vents? What would happen if I got one without? The vents are presently cracked and the source of this trouble.

Yes the starter I got actually had pole extensions on it, we'll see if better with or without. I plan to order the basic starter heat shield pouch

Ok thanks I'll look for the heat shield with those guys. Is it easy to install the soft shield after installing the starter? Or must it be done at the same time? Also, there are two starters available, Dakota 91-95 and looks like 95+. Will both fit? If so I'll try and pick the smaller one

This is the starter that matches the BBB N17466, which appears to be Napa p#2446415. These pictures are off two different websites, showing the front and back of the part. Fits 91-95 Dodge Dakota 5.2L. Does this appear to be the correct part to fit my 400 ci?

Ok I've found the BBB N17466 starter locally. Now to find the heat shield, without wrapping the headers is there a basic heat shield solution for the starter that is effective? Could really use guidance on this one, hoping there's a generic sleeve of some sort I can pick up

Any recommendation for a heat shield / sleeve?
