Bought an NOS 11” replacement front drum

So I had a bad front drum on my 68 roadrunner. It had been turned too thin and cracked. I found a replacement NOS drum so I jumped on it as these are getting pretty difficult to find. The studs in the hub had already been replaced with right hand studs. The drum came off pretty easily and the...

Just picked up this flywheel. Pretty sure it’s for a steel crank internally balanced big block. It is 143 tooth. Just wanting to make sure before I have it resurfaced to use in my 68 roadrunner. Thanks in advance.

What’s your opinion on this lower control arm?

Trying something different and wonder what y’all’s opinions are on this one? Haven’t done the other yet as I wanted to see how it turned out first. I kind of like the look of it myself, but is it too gold of a color? These pice are taken under LED shop lights so it makes things seem really...

    UCA bushing sleeves

Restoring the upper control arms for my 68 roadrunner and still had the sleeves on the rear upper control arm bushings and after spraying them with penetrating oil the bushing came out easy enough. I was surprised since this car has never had new bushings, ball joints, etc.

SOLD Console and shifter from 1968 GTX

Selling this as a parts unit for the most part. Plastic base is broken at the back as shown. Pitting is minimal on top plate and console door but there are two small holes drilled in the top plate. Probably to mount an 8 track I expect. Lights are still there as is chrome trim. All these parts...

Rebuilt engine that has been stored for years

So the numbers matching engine for my 68 RR that I am restoring was rebuilt by an excellent engine guy a long time ago. How long I have no idea. My best guess is probably 15 years or maybe longer. Anyway I took my endoscope and looked at all cylinders and in at the cam. It’s clean as a whistle...

    Let’s see those winter builds

Here is mine. I bought this car a year ago. Been buying parts ever since. It was built several years ago but never finished. I have pretty much everything to put it together so it’s time to get the thing ready to build. Previous owner passed away before he could finish the car. I hate to do it...

What’s your favorite wheel on a drag car?

I have to give my vote to the Weld drag lite. It has a timeless look that is at home on any car and from what I can tell it seems to be making a resurgence amongst the youngsters too. I am having a set of bead locks put on these this winter. A close second would be the Monocoque wheels. Similar...

Some call it overkill, I call it….well….overkill

So I am building a 500” bracket engine using a stock 440 block. Just picked up everything from the machine shop today. Added billet caps and machined it for cross bolts to make it a four bolt main like a Hemi. I then added a girdle to the bottom end and plan on filling the block to boot...

1968 383 road runner camshaft question

So my 68 road runner that I’m restoring came with the original numbers matching engine already rebuilt and assembled. I verified everything with the bore scope and she’s new. so I bought a 68 Satellite parts car for my road runner build. Has a complete 8/34 rear end in it. I haven’t checked but I feel certain it isn’t a sure grip. Assuming that what’s it worth? Going to be selling a lid of parts off of this car going forward but I have someone wanting the rear diff.
