    Pump rebuilt, no power steering??

A number of years ago my 74 Runners power steering pump started to squeal with the slightest pressure. Like when you hit the stops. Was really emberassing to pull into the gas station and this restored classic sounds like a Rez wagon. So I got a replacement pump from napa. I go to change it...

    Improving high speed drive ability

The original boxes left a lot to be desired. There are a few options, there are a couple places that will rebuild to a much higher standard than the factory did such as Firm Feel, Steer and Gear. Or Borgeson makes a replacement more modern box.

    4 post hoists

I have infloor heat pipes in my shop so a 2 post was not doable. With the 4 post, you can move it around which is very handy. I don't have the bridge jacks so I made a sliding platform that I can put a hydraulic jack on to get the wheels off the platform. Hard to imagine not having it now. Took...

    Tremec Magnum 6 speed conversion

If your goal is simply to install a 6 speed for the lowest possible cost, for sure you could "do it" for less. But to compare the kit they offer to a budget home job using used parts of unknown history is deceiving. What I was saying was I compared all the available kits and found theirs to be...

    Sandblasting what kind to use

Totally agree with getting a big compressor. I have a fair size shop compressor (20 cfm )but when I have blasting to do, I rent a 185+ cfm. Time saved easily covers rental cost

    Welder up Garage Charger.....

Was in Vegas a couple years back. Stopped in at the Welder Up shop. Very personable guys. Got a full shop tour. Talked cars and politics for an hour or better (Obama was still Potus). Not what I would do to a 68 but they probably did save it from the crusher and it is a pretty cool build.

    Sandblasting what kind to use

Oh and the crushed glass cost the same as silica sand. It is not the same as glass bead.

    Sandblasting what kind to use

I have a "dustless blaster". It is absolutely incredible. Even on undercoating. Hard to explain how well it works without seeing it. On ferrous metal, there is an additive to the water to keep the metal from rusting and it actually works. No warpage (I got it for stripping aircraft parts...

    Tremec Magnum 6 speed conversion

In the process of installing a T56 kit from SST into a 72 Charger auto car. Went with the close ratio .63 final and the hydraulic clutch. The kit is very complete. Comes with everything from the back of the engine to the diff. You could save a few bucks sourcing everything separate but not...

    Front spring mount

It looks like its gonna be a bitch. I doubt it can be repaired properly and the welding on the current "repair" is the worst I've ever seen. And I've seen some horiffic welding!
