The car isn't registered or insured yet, but had to make a short video with a "cold" (it was 95 today) start, walk around and drive around the block with the top down.
Enjoy...
Also took a photo as well.
What type of gasket needed for my 318 distributor? The one I removed was a metal stamped gasket, but the one I got was an o-ring and a paper gasket (Felpro 6464).
Thanks!
Still trying to figure out why my brake pedal is too high (1968 Coronet Brake Linkage Question). Looking at the booster I have, I see '1968-C' and under it says 'C-4212-D'.
The booster pushrod that attaches to the linkage inside the dash measures 3-3/8" tip to center of the hole.
Looking at my...
My 68 Coronet 500 originally had manual drums. About 30 years ago I added a power brake booster. I don't remember having to change/add linkage under the dash other than the booster rod, but I can't remember what I had for dinner yesterday.
Did a manual brake rod bolt directly from the master...
I like to watch some of the old Tonka toy restorations on YouTube. First time doing an Ertl car. Don't think I would have painted the grill silver, but all-in-all, good job.
This video just popped up on YouTube last night. Since Eagle Field is about 30 minutes away, my buddy and I went there last year. Planned to go this year until it was cancelled due to the virus. There's a cool fly-by at around the 6:00 minute mark.
How do you remove the rocker trim on my 68 Coronet? Some of the plastic clips are broken and the trim rattles when I get in. I realize I can buy new ones, but money is tight right now. Was going to remove them and put a little dab of RTV to the broken ones.
Thanks.
Car is a 68 Coronet 318. Was using a hose trying to clean some of the junk on the motor, and I now see a little fountain on one of the freeze plugs. It's on the front near the fuel pump.
I'm not ready to change them all, just the bad one. Do you know what size this one is?
The car is a 68 Coronet with drum brakes. I added a power brake booster about 25 years ago. Car hasn't been registered since 2005 due to my mobility issues. My legs can't bend and my brake pedal is very high so I'm not able to drive it safely. I'm trying to figure out how to lower the pedal. I...
Saw this on Facebook a few days ago and surprised nobody else has mentioned this. https://ultimatemotorcycling.com/2019/03/23/arlen-ness-passes-1939-2019/
I'm borrowing a Sears/Penske Automotive Analyzer (P/N 244-21033) to just check my dwell (not on my Coronet). Can't find the manual and there is now batteries installed (2 C-cells). I'm assuming it needs the batteries to zero the meter. I'm connecting the red lead to the tach/neg term on the coil...
