help me diagnose my AC problem on my 66

Just out of curiosity, what did you fill the system with? Old A/C systems used R-12 refrigerant and before that something else... But EPA made the A/C industry switch to something else less harsh on the environment a few years back. So now R-12 is illegal ( at least in Ca. ) and very hard to...

    Pertronix

Hmm... I know this sounds crazy but did you verify that it was not like 180* out of sync? Or for some reason the plug wires were on 1 or even 2 over? I hate to do it but I always check the stupid stuff... Well, because sometimes I have a stupid moment.

    Still looking...

Ummm did I miss something? I thought he was saying he "wanted" a Cordoba Right Front fender... Just checking... Of which I know where one might be. In fact the whole car is there except for the brake proportioning/distribution block ( because I took it for my Coronet  ). Let me know if...

    unintended acceleration

Wait!!!! You wouldn't have named your car Christine by any chance would you?????? :rolling: I couldn't help it... It is a serious problem that could get you or someone else hurt and I would probably consider not driving the car until you can trouble shoot it... Good luck.

    unintended acceleration

OK, I haven't done the research to see what year it is and what type of carb? Also the oil light might be coming on if you are on the edge of being low and the acceleration is pulling the oil away from the pump. I'm sure you have checked that but just in case... I have seen later year cars have...

Well stated! You mean like bring their way of life as in... leaving waded up used toilet peper next to the toilet in the stalls at my work??? I still haven't been able to figure that one out. HR won't even do anything about it.

    This guy HAS to GO!

OK Trebor, I would hope you didn't join this forum to try to spark some kind of political debate. It would be cool if you could post some pics of your car/s as well. And welcome since this is your first post. I see that you are in Washington(D.C. or state I'm not sure), I'm in Southern...

    This guy HAS to GO!

LOL I love that plan! This country was built by immigrants, but they were here to better their lives and in the process, make the country "The greatest country in the world" IMO. Don't get me wrong, I like other countries just fine, I'm mostly Scottish and Swedish so Europe is fine by me, but...

Which is easier to spray for a novice....

I don't really have any advice on the subject but I'm glad it was brought up. I was wondering the same thing between urethane and regular enamel. I was looking at the Summit paint systems. Which one is easier for cleanup for guns, spills and the such...? I was already leaning toward the Urethane...

Hood latch support cross piece for '69 Coronet

I'm trying to locate a hood latch support for my '69 Coronet. If I have the terminology wrong, it's the long piece that spans the inner fenders in front of the radiator support that the grill bolts to and has the hood release spring and hood latch on it. I just need that top piece and the two...

318 to 360 swap and set up.

OK, I was thinking about both of these topics. 318-316 swap... I ended up choosing the 318. Something about the challenge of pulling on a big block car at a red light is appealing to me. ( not that I endorse stoplight drags ) . . . Wait a minute who am I kidding, of course I do! :grin...

Whats YOUR opinion on the new Chrysler?

Well just my $.02... I don't really like some of the current Chrysler line. I think Fiat has the resources to revive the Chrysler/Dodge Line to it's original strength. Personally I would like to see Plymouth come back and since the Challenger is the only current MoPar vehicle that is able to...
